Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila

  • 1 oz blue curaçao

  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice

  • ½ oz simple syrup (optional, depending on sweetness preference)

  • 1 cup ice

  • Coarse sugar or salt for the rim (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Glass: Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it into coarse salt or sugar. Place the glass in the freezer while you prepare the cocktail.

2. Combine the ingredients: Add the tequila, blue curaçao, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and ice to a blender.

3. Blend: Blend until the mixture is smooth and slushy. If it's too thick, add a splash of water or a little more lime juice. If it's too thin, add a few more ice cubes and blend again.

4. Pour: Pour the frozen margarita into the prepared glass.

5. Garnish: Garnish with a fresh lime wheel and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately while perfectly frozen.
